According to this plan, Tirana will have five road rings, three existing and two new ones.
“The road hierarchy will be explored thoroughly, especially the northern axis and the eastern-western one, also with the other solutions, such as underground parking spaces with several levels. We will improve the biggest parks for Metropolitan Tirana”, declared Mayor Lulzim Basha.
“The strategic group approved the criteria for the green spaces inside the city and for new constructions”, says the Municipality press release.
This plan is being made in cooperation with the communes around Tirana, because the new urban plan is extended beyond the administrative borders of the city.
Although this plan foresees consults with the citizens, the meeting was held behind closed doors.
